Question by victoria: How does this sound so far?
Ok, i’m writing a short story I guess for the sims2.com. I know that might be kinda lame or whatever, but it’s kinda fun. Please read it and tell me what you think, or if you have any ideas.
I slowly opened my eyes to the bright rays of sunlight peeking through the curtains. I started to sit up, and realized that the walls should have been Pink, not white, and what happened to all the posters on the wall? I started to get frightened, where am I? The last thing I could remember was falling asleep in my room, and now this. A few seconds later I heard someone walking towards the door, and I started getting up, I was going to have some answers.
A woman I had never seen before came in, she was wearing what looked like a nurse uniform that revealed her name was Mary, she had dark black hair, and cold brown eyes. She watched me get up intently, checking me for who knows what. Mary didn’t look very friendly, I got even more nervous, “Where am I? And who are you? What is going o-” The nurse, María, glared at the me, making me shut up pretty quickly. She wrote something down on a clipboard that was beside my bed, and left the room.
I stared at the glass door for a few minutes after she left, I could see a hallway past it, and another door. I decided to take a look around the room, it had white walls, and a soft white carpet. The only thing in the room besides the rather uncomfortable bed was a desk and a few windows. I pulled open the drawers and leafed through the books on the desk, and discovered nothing. All of the books were blank journals, maybe if I found a pen I could start writing a diary. I walked over to one of the windows, and pulled back the curtain which revealed nothing but trees, trees, and more trees. I sighed, “Well, that’s great, I’m stuck in an empty room in the middle of nowhere, just dandy.” I stared at the door for a few more minutes, before sitting down at the desk and trying a hand at origami. I mean why not? It’s not like there’s anything else to do.
After awhile, of sitting and staring at crumpled bits of paper I started feeling pangs in my stomach, it gurgled loudly. The last thing I ate was some pasta the night before, it must be at least noon now. I got up and walked to the door, hoping it might be left unlocked, I don’t know why I hadn’t thought of this before. It was! I ran down to the end of the hall sincerely hoping this door would be unlocked as well, maybe I’d run into someone helpful, maybe someone carrying a sandwich. Unfortunately no such luck, “ARGHH…where am I? What is going on…” I sank down onto the floor feeling miserable. The stupid hospital gown I was wearing wasn’t very modest, but modesty was the least of my concerns just now. Just as I was beginning to think maybe I had died and this was some sort of perverse version of hell, someone knocked gently at the door. A soft female voice said, “I’m coming in Lily.” I just sat there for a second, not quite believing what I heard. Espere, Lily? How did this woman know my name? Is it the same woman…María? Who came in earlier? So many questions, maybe this woman will have some answers.
The door opened, just as I managed to get up and cover myself as best I could in the short gown. A brunette woman in blue scrubs came in carrying a plate, she had a kind motherly face. Pleasant smells wafted up from the plate, steak maybe? She put the plate on the desk, “Why hello there Lily, I hope your hungry there’s a big steak here with your name on it.” The woman smiled sweetly at me. I just stood there staring at her, my stomach telling me to get a move on and eat already. Ignoring my stomach I asked the woman, “How do you know my name?” She kept smiling at me, “Oh how rude of me! I’m Arianne, i’ve been assigned to watch over you during your stay here.” I stared back at her unnerving smile, “what do you mean, my stay here? What are you talking about?” “Hmm you really do look hungry,” Arianne said smiling nervously, “Why sit here and chat? You should eat that nice, juicy steak before it gets to cold. I’ll be back later to get you freshened up.” With that Arianne left the room quickly, shutting the outside door with a click as it became locked once again.
Also I know it won’t be the best because it is my first time writing anything that wasn’t school related.

This is really good! At the end I found myself wanting more. Maybe you could start a series! Let me know.
I realize that this may not be a final draft, but remember to make new paragraphs when each new person is speaking. También, watch out for letters that should be capitalized. I only see one mistake, when Lily says, “¿Qué quiere decir, my stay here?.” What should be capitalized.
You are an awesome writer, keep it up! Tell me if you write more about her, and where she is!
